Famous Shayar Dr. Rahat Indori, who tested positive for coronavirus, passes away

On 11th August, famous lyricist, poet, and painter, Dr. Rahat Indori has passed away. He had tested positive for coronavirus and informed everyone by tweeting on twitter. He was admitted to a private hospital but had a fatal heart attack. He was 70 at the time.

District Magistrate, Manish Singh said that Indori, who was infected with Coronavirus, died during treatment at Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAMS). He stated that Indori was already suffering from diseases like heart disease, kidney disease, and diabetes.

Born Rahat Qureshi in Indore, he has a Ph.D. in Urdu literature from the Bhoj University of Madhya Pradesh in 1985 for his thesis titled "Urdu Main Mushaira."

Before getting famous for his heart-touching shayaris, Rahat Indori was a professor of Urdu language and a pedagogist of Urdu literature at Devi Ahilya University, Indore. But reciting shayaris has been his calling and he has been performing in many Kavi Sammelan all over the world for 50 years.

Rahat Indori had written his first song titled 'Mera Khyal' for the Bollywood film 'Main Tera Aashiq'. The song was sung by Anuradha Paudwal. That was his entry into Bollywood. He went on to write two songs for the film 'Aashiyaan' for the same singer Anuradha.

After the news of Indori's demise, many social media platforms have been filled with the wave of his fans mourning rage. He has touched the hearts of many with his soulful writing and reciting skills. Fans are paying tribute to him by writing his shayari and remembering him.
